Healthy Snack Hack!
Convincing myself to eat healthy snacks this time of year (ok, any time of year!) is hard enough, but choosing healthy snacks when candy and Reese’s pumpkins are flowing freely? And if you have a family - it’s even harder to make sure EVERYONE stays on track! Ooof!
I’ve got a really easy hack to make sure you get to enjoy the season but still put the things in everyone’s bodies they really need. Trust me, you’re going to love this.
Ready for this? Set up a self-serve snack station! Self-serve means they can help themselves without asking and it’s always an okay time of day to snack on these items.
After grocery shopping, wash, and prep all the food in your house that’s considered self-serve. Think baby carrots, sliced cucumbers, grapes, strawberries, apple slices, string cheese, and yogurt. Once the snacks are prepped, stick them in storage containers that live on the lower shelves of your fridge for easy access to grab and go any time!
